Walk to Lose Weight

Walking is an easy, inexpensive and readily available activity to reduce your body weight. Good Housekeeping magazine reports that one hour of daily walking can burn between 300 and 500 calories. If you are consistent with your walking program for seven to 10 days, you can lose up to half a Kilo gram. You will lose 20-24 Kilo grams  when you walk every day for a year. The American Heart Association recommends walking 10,000 steps every day,
Walking helps you shift your attitude toward health, fitness, and weight loss. Take a year to move through the following 3 steps to make gradual but positive lifestyle changes
Walk to Lose:- In most of the life scenarios losing  causes  sorrow but  when you lose weight you will be very happy.
Step 1:- The first and foremost tip I suggest you to lose weight is  just walk. Just get out there and walk a little. Build a daily habit. Let’s call it being active. Don’t think about target figures,  changing clothes, going to a gym, jumping around for an hour, Just take a short walk to the bus stop, the corner mailbox, or the convenience store for a bottle  of milk. Find ways to add an extra 2,000 steps into your daily routine.

Buy and wear a pedometer to measure your steps. Now a days   all mobiles  have pedometer apps. Some of them are free to down load.
A  pedometer app should provide  counts of  your steps, calories and distance A 20-minute walk is about 120 steps per minute, or 2,400 steps. You can break that up into 3 walks of 800 steps each.

How far you walk or how fast you walk aren't important. It’s simply walking in short spurts most days of the week. Be careful. Once you start paying attention to walking, you’ll want to walk farther.

Goal: You’ll realize you don’t have to hurt to feel better. After a walk, you’ll feel invigorated and happy.

Step 2:- Walk longer, build strength. Start increasing your walking distance, and you’ll begin to see weight loss. During this second phase, increasing distance means increasing time to 45-60 minutes 2 days a week.
You can cover serious distance in an hour of walking and walk even longer on weekends. Build up to a half-day or day-long hike. This increase in duration increases weight loss, burns more calories, and builds strength as you get off the beaten path and hike up and down hills on a challenging course.

Goal: Walk vigorously for a longer period of time twice a week. If you don't see dramatic weight loss, it may be because you are building muscle
Step 3:- Walk faster and seek variety. Speed up your walking and you’ll see total body fitness improvements. A couple days a week, go fast enough to break a sweat and breathe hard. Increase your walking intensity to a fast pace for three minutes during your 60-minute walk. Return your walking pace to a comfortable level for an active recovery
Goal: Walk in a 5K or 10K event such as a corporate cup run/walk, a fund-raising race for the cure, or other organized community activity

After a Year you would see a dramatic improvement in your body fitness.

You can burn more calories with Back Packing . Carry some weight in Back pack to burn more calories.. Reduce sugar and Salt in your diet. If possible replace sugar with honey.  Every day morning have a glass of water  with lemon and Honey.

Thursday, 19 July 2012

Honey in Weight loss

Honey contains sugar. But unlike refined sugar, honey contains vitamins and minerals too. Normally, to digest sugar, the vitamins and minerals stored in body are utilized, rendering the body devoid of these nutrients. These nutrients are essential to dissolve fats and cholesterol. Thus when you eat too much sugar, you tend to increase weight not just because of the calories, but due to lack of vitamins and minerals. On the contrary, honey being a good source of nutrients, helps you in reducing weight.
Honey and warm water: Normally fat remains as an un-used resource in your body adding bulk and weight. It is believed that honey mobilizes this stored fat. When this fat is burnt to provide energy for your daily activities, you see a gradual decrease in your weight and obesity levels. It is suggested that you drink this honey (about one tablespoon daily), with equal amount of warm water.
Honey and lemon juice: Honey can also help in weight loss, when consumed with warm water and lemon juice. Many people drink this formula, first thing in the morning to reduce their weight.

Cinnamon

Cinnamon is one of the most popular herbs and spices. Though cinnamon oil has numerous health benefits, it often causes irritations and allergic reactions. Therefore people prefer to use cinnamon directly instead of using the oil.
Cinanamon is widely used in India and in Asia. Its a part of their  indigenous medicine ayurveda.
Cinnamon destroys all deep cold in the body. It stimulates  circulation especially in the  lungs
Cinnamon is useful for cold hands and feet, Raynauld's, and to increase circulation in the joint space. Additionally warming and stimulating to the liver and kidney, it effectively pacifies cold Vata and regulates metabolism of fats and sugars in Kapha, helping with type II diabetes and insulin resistance.

A sweet demulcent pre-packaged with pungency, cinnamon bundles numerous qualities of a good
expectorant
The demulcent quality of cinnamon comes from the sweet taste. It is what makes a hot cinnamon tea thick and slimy. Gargling with cinnamon helps to coat the throat.

Cinnamon is an  oxytocic aphrodisiac. The warming and stimulating qualities of cinnamon flush uterine congestion in  dysmennorhea and aid  amenorrhea . Ironically, cinnamon also helps in  menorrhagia
. The astringent, dry, and  haemostatic qualities of cinnamon prevail to reduce the excess blood flow. Oxytocic herbs can stimulate miscarriages and should not be used during pregnancy.
Cinnamon stops vomiting. It relieves gas and bad breath by preventing fermentation through two pathways: by stimulating agni and by its anti-microbial qualities. Cinnamon with chalk is useful for diarrhea. Cinnamon's mild astringency is also useful in infant diarrhea from deficiency (vata and kapha type
manda agni ). Its analgesic qualities are useful for toothache.

The health benefits of cinnamon include the following:
Brain Tonic: Cinnamon boosts the activity of the brain and hence acts as a good brain tonic. It helps in removing nervous tension and memory loss. cinnamon has the ability to boost brain activity.
Blood Purification: Cinnamon helps in removing blood impurities. Therefore it is often recommended for pimples.
Blood Circulation: Cinnamon aids in the circulation of blood due to the presence of a blood thinning compound in it. This blood circulation helps significantly in removing pain. Good blood circulation also ensures oxygen supply to the body cells leading to higher metabolic activity. You significantly reduce the chance of getting a heart attack by regularly consuming cinnamon.
Pain: Cinnamon is also anti inflammatory. It helps in removing the stiffness of muscles. It relieves pain and stiffness of muscle and joints. Cinnamon is also recommended for arthritis. It also helps in removing headache that is caused by cold

Diabetes: Cinnamon has the ability to control blood sugar. Diabetics find it very useful as cinnamon aids them in using less insulin. Research has shown that it is particularly very helpful for patients suffering from type2 diabetes. Type2 diabetes patients are not able to use their insulin levels properly.
Infections: Due to its antifungal, antibacterial, antiviral and antiseptic properties, it is effective on external as well as internal infections. It helps in destroying germs in the gall bladder and bacteria in staph infections.
Healing: Cinnamon helps in stopping bleeding. Therefore it facilitates the healing process.
Heart Diseases: It is believed that the calcium and fiber present in cinnamon provides protection against heart diseases. Including a little cinnamon in the food helps those suffering from coronary artery disease and high blood pressure.
Colon Cancer: It also improves the health of colon and thereby reducing the risk to colon cancer.
Mouth freshener: Cinnamon is used in chewing gums as it is a good mouth freshener and removes bad breath.
Perfumes: It has a refreshing aroma and is extensively used in making perfumes.
Indigestion: Cinnamon is added in many ethnic recipes. Apart from adding flavor to the food, it also aids in digestion. Cinnamon is very effective for indigestion, nausea, vomiting, upset stomach, diarrhea and flatulence. Due to its carminative properties, it is very helpful in removing gas from the stomach and intestines. It also removes acidity, diarrhea and morning sickness. It is therefore often referred to as a digestive tonic.
Respiratory problems: Cinnamon helps in cold, flu, influenza, sore throat and congestion.
Menstruation: Cinnamon is effective in providing relief from menstrual discomfort and cramping.
Birth Control: Cinnamon also helps in natural birth control. Regular consumption of cinnamon after child birth delays menstruation and thus helps in avoiding conception.
Breastfeeding: It is also believed that cinnamon aids in the secretion of breast milk.
Cinnamon is diuretic in nature and helps in secretion and discharge of urine. It is also aphrodisiac and is believed to arouse sexual desire.

Weight Loss: Honey and cinnamon: Another useful recipe is cinnamon powder with honey and warm water. Take one tablespoon of cinnamon power, one tablespoon of honey and one cup of warm water, mix the ingredients properly and drink this mixture empty stomach

Service Entry sheet

The service entry sheet is used to record services as they are actually
performed by the vendor or subcontractor. In the case of planned services, the
services actually performed are recorded in the entry sheet with reference to
the specifications already entered in the PO. In the case of unplanned services
(defined only in the form of money limits in the PO), the service entry sheet
constitutes the document in which precise specifications are entered into the
system for the first time.
Steps in procurement of services
The procurement of services may involve the following phases:
·
Creation of purchase requisition
·
Determination of possible sources
·
Invitation to potential service providers to submit bids (creation of RFQ)
·
Entry of quotations (bids)
·
Analysis and evaluation of quotations
·
Award of contract (order placement)
·
Entry of services actually performed
·
Acceptance of services performed· Checking and approving invoices submitted by vendors for services performed

VENDOR EVALUATION

The Vendor Evaluation component has been completely integrated into MM Purchasing.
Information such as delivery dates, prices, and quantities can be taken from purchase
orders. Vendor Evaluation also uses data from Quality Management, such as the results
of incoming inspections or quality audits. It also accesses basic data in Materials
Management, such as goods receipt data from Inventory Management, and data from
the Logistics Information System

What is Vendor Evaluation?
The Vendor Evaluation System supports you in the optimization of your procurement
processes in the case of both materials and services.
Procurement of Materials
The system helps you select sources of supply and facilitate the continual monitoring of
existing supply relationships. It provides you with accurate information on prices, and
terms of payment and delivery. By evaluating vendors, you can improve your
enterprise's competitiveness. You can quickly determine and resolve any procurement
problems that may arise on the basis of detailed information and in collaboration with the
relevant vendors.

Procurement of Services
You can check the reliability of the vendors from which you procure services on a plantby-
plant basis. You can determine whether the vendors perform the services within the
specified timeframes and appraise the quality of the work carried out.
Scores and Criteria
The SAP Standard System offers you a scoring range from 1 to 100 points, which is
used to measure the performance of your vendors on the basis of five main criteria. You
can determine and compare the performance of your vendors by reference to their
overall scores. The main criteria available in the standard system are:
·Price
·Quality
·Delivery
·General service/support
These four main criteria serve as a basis for the evaluation of vendors from whom you
procure materials.
You can also define other or further main criteria, as required. You can assign different
weights to the individual criteria. The vendor's overall score is computed taking into
account the weighted scores awarded for each of the main criteria. The Vendor
Evaluation System ensures that evaluation of vendors is objective, since all vendors are
assessed according to uniform criteria and the scores are computed automatically. In
this way, subjective impressions and judgments can be largely avoided. To create a
detailed evaluation, each main criterion can be divided into several sub criteria. The
standard system provides you with certain sub criteria, which suffice as a basis for
evaluation, but you can also define your own additional sub criteria.
The scores for the sub criteria are calculated in three different ways.
Automatic
Scores are calculated by the system on the basis of existing data.
Semi-automatic
You enter individual scores for important materials, or for the quality and
timeliness of a service performed yourself. The system then calculates the
higher-level score from these.
Manual
You enter a blanket score for a sub criterion per vendor.
Analyses
The results of vendor evaluation are displayed in the form of analyses. For example, you
can generate ranking lists of the best vendors according to overall score or ranking lists
for specific materials. Changes to evaluations are recorded in logs, and you have the
option of printing out evaluation sheets.

Organizational Level for Vendor Evaluation
The organizational level for Vendor Evaluation is the purchasing organization: Each
purchasing organization evaluates the vendors that have been assigned to it. The
system does not support a comparison of Vendor Evaluations at the higher company
code level.
Vendor Evaluation uses the following master data:
·
Vendor master record
·
Material master record
·
This section describes the most important elements of Vendor Evaluation:
Overall Score
Main Criteria
Sub criteria
Scoring Range
Weighting of Scores
Purchasing info record
Overall Score
The overall score represents the complete evaluation of a vendor. It is a combination of
the scores the vendor has achieved for all the main criteria. You can compare different
vendors on the basis of their overall scores without generating a detailed analysis of
their evaluations.
Main criteria
The main criteria form the basis for assessing the performance of a vendor. The system
calculates the overall score for a vendor from the main criteria scores. You can evaluate
vendors according to several main criteria, which you consider important. The scores for
the main criteria are a more accurate representation of the performance of a vendor than
the overall score.
Subcriteria
Subcriteria are the smallest units to which scores can be assigned in Vendor Evaluation.
The system calculates a score for the higher-level main criterion based on the scores a
vendor receives for the various subcriteria. There are three types of subcriteria:
·
Manual
·
Semi-automatic
·
They are named after the different methods of scoring. The individual scoring methods
fulfill different purposes and involve different kinds of maintenance.
Scoring Range
To compare the performance of one vendor with another, it is necessary to establish a
range (or scale) of possible scores. You can define your own scoring range from the
worst- to the best-possible achievable score. The examples in this documentation are
based on a scoring range of 1 to 100 points. This scale provides you with a good
overview and also permits quite a finely differentiated rating of individual vendors.
The scoring range is defined when the system is configured.
Weighting of Scores
The scores a vendor is awarded for main criteria can be weighted differently to reflect
differences in the significance of the criteria.
Weighting Factor
By using weighting factors, you can increase or reduce the importance of certain criteria
when a score is calculated at the next highest level.
Suppose a vendor receives 80 points for the criterion Price and 80 points for the criterion
Service. Since the price of the material is more important to you than the service the
vendor provides, you assign the criterion Price a weighting factor of 3 and the criterion
Service a factor of 1. The 80 points for Price are then worth three times more than the 80
points for Service when the overall score is calculated.
Weighting Keys
A weighting key is an identifier under which the weighting factors for a number of main
criteria can be grouped together and saved. If you know that you will want to carry out an
evaluation repeatedly with certain main criteria and certain weighting factors, you can
save this combination under a weighting key. When you carry out the next vendor
evaluation, just enter the relevant weighting key instead of entering a weighting factor for
each individual criterion. The system then automatically sets all the weighting factors.
Evaluating Vendors
The evaluation of vendors is subject to certain preconditions. Before you begin, you
must consider the following:
·
Have you maintained the system settings?
·
Do you have the required authorizations?
·
Which vendor do you want to evaluate? (vendor key)
·
organization key)?
Which purchasing organization is to evaluate the vendor (purchasing
·
Is this the first time the vendor has been evaluated?
·

If not, when was the last evaluation?
Automatic
