Setting up Variant in SAP

1.     Definition

·           Selection variants allow users to save and reuse the selection criteria required to run a SAP report.
·           The option to create selection variants is available in all SAP reports.
·           In order to create background jobs a selection variant must be defined in order for the required selection criteria to be applied to the report.
·           The use of selection variants for regular reports can save time, particular when combined with the use of background jobs.
As standard when selection criteria are saved in a selection variant the values are fixed and reapplied each time the variant is used to run a report. Often this gives the required result (eg when a cost centre report is run for a particular cost centre). However some selection criteria (eg date ranges) need to change each time a report is run. This can be achieved using Selection Variables

2.     Saving a Selection Variant

·           Run a report and enter the required selection criteria.
·           Press the Save button or use Goto>Variants>Save as Variant from the menu system.
·           Enter a variant name and description.
·           Press the Save button

3.        Using a Selection Variant

·           Run a report.
·           Press the Get Variant button or use Goto>Variants>Get
·           Select the variant from the list by double clicking the required variant.
·           Run the report with the retrieved selection criteria.

4.        Using Selection Variables

·           Run a report and enter the required selection criteria.
·           Press the Save button or use Goto>Variants>Save as Variant from the menu system.
·           Enter a variant name and description.
·           Tick the box "Selection Variant" (fourth from the left) against the field that requires variable selection criteria.
·           Press the "Selection Variables" button
·           Click the amber traffic light in the "D" (date) column, turning the traffic green.
·           Select the required date variable from the drop down list (eg Previous Month).
·           Press the Save button to save the selection variable
·           Press the Save button to save the selection variant

Autism Ayurveda Treatment

Autism is the end result of systematic toxins such as Mercury in the body causing this tridoshic disease which is especially a gross imbalance of vata and particularly prana vata which is the vata seated in the mind controlling all mental functions such as speech, concentration, memory, learning and neurological response. The protocol for autism is focused on removing toxins from the system and at the same time nourishing and energising the cells so that they may repair.

Mothers should follow this diet and protocol as strictly at possible for 6 months to a year and good effects will result. Besides diet specific practices such as massage, herbs and home-remedies have been indicated here. Autism should be treated with a multi-fold approach for quickest results.
General Diet Rules

Vata pacifying general diet should be followed (see recipes below for Vata diet)

Only ghee and olive oils should be used with a special emphasis on pure cow ghee.

Ghee goes in and pulls out lipid soluble chemicals from the brain and nerve tissue, thus it detoxes the brain, nourishes the brain cells and repairs damage from the toxins that have caused the autism.

To learn to make pure cow ghee please see recipes section below.

Organic ingredients should be used as much as possible.

Home made lassi (see recipes) should be served daily after lunch. ¼ cup of yoghurt to ¾ cups of water blended with spices such as cardamon, black pepper and cinnamon. A little jaggery or raw sugar can be added too. For a digestive lassi add cumin, coriander and ginger.

5-6 drops of coriander juice should be put into food each meal as a seasoning.

Diluted fresh pomegranate juice should be taken daily if possible (not easily available in South Africa but it does grow quite extensively so ask at local organic farmers market to find a source).

Avoid

All refined processed and chemical food (this includes white sugar, chips, chocolates, white flour, soft drinks and most anything you would find in a modern supermarket shelf)

Leftovers

Old cheeses

Cold foods and drinks

Microwaved food

Nightshades and legumes other than green and white mung should be avoided

All soya products and their derivatives should be avoided

If you are lactose intolerant and can’t take organic milk then make almond or rice milk (do not purchase ready made milk powders). To make almond milk, soak and skin some almonds and blend with water.

Water

Only filter water should be used for cooking and drinking. RO is the preferred method of filtration we suggest. Keep a few rose-quartz crystals in your water container to purify and energise the water.

Juices

Fresh sweet fruits should be juiced by a masticating juicer (such as an Oscar or Kempo) and taken every day at least 1-2 cup fulls apart from daily meals.

Recommended juices for autism:

Mango and Paw paw
Apple and grape
Grape and carrot
Apple and carrot
Paw paw and pineapple
Litchi and apple

Fresh fruit juices (especially if organic and in season) aid in detoxification of all tissues and are very calming and soothing to the mind and nerves.

NB: Only use fruits that are in season and ideally organic otherwise peel them.

Daily Practices

Vata oil should be applied daily to the entire spine slightly warmed and Vata Hair Oil should be applied to the head especially the crown of the head. Vata oil should also be applied on the third eye sand on the hands and up to the elbow. You can blend 50% vata oil and 50% cold-pressed sesame oil if your budget can not afford to always use the pure vata oil.

Almond oil should also be applied to the head and feet daily.

Mantras are very good for increasing Soma in the child and balancing the mind. Tapes of mantras should be used. The Mahamrtyunja mantra should be used as such.

Om triyambakam yajamahe sugandhim pushti vardhanam
                   Uvarukamiva bandhanan mrityor mukshia maamrutat

Herbal Medicines

These are ayurvedic herbal formulae, available  easily that will gently remove the toxins and also regenerate the damaged tissues as a result of the toxins. Please take medicines for 6 months at least as indicated below.

TIBB-Livotibb (Liv.52 – Himalaya Drug Company) – This medicine detoxifies the entire body and purifies the liver thus aiding the rapid removal of all heavy metals quickly from the body. It also amplifies the effects of the specific herbs such as Brahmi which are used to remove toxicity from the brain and purify the neural channels.

To be taken with hot water 2-3 tablets twice a day.

TIBB-Mentone (Mentat – Himalaya Drug Company) – This medicine contains Brahmi and Shankpushpi. It should be taken in a relatively large dose of at least 3-5 tables twice daily.

It can be taken with hot water as the vehicle of the medicine.

Special note if the child will not take tablets both products listed above are available as a syrup too but first try the tablets.

Hot spiced and sweetened (with jaggery) organic milk with brahmi powder (1 ½ tsp) should be taken first thing in the morning and just before bedtime. Brahmi with milk is a special elixir for autism. The milk must only be cows milk from happy organic cows.

NB: Maharishi Ayurveda herbal medicines which are far superior and slightly quicker acting than those mentioned above are also available for autism from Ambrosia .

Special Note:

If constipation is there, hot milk with ghee and ginger powder should be taken before bedtime as a home remedy. It can be slightly sweated with jaggery or raw organic sugar.

If constipation is more chronic take 1-2 tablets of Triphalla nightly with hot water.

Please be patient with herbs. You will need 2-3 months to start seeing results but please administer diligently. As children start to purify and regenerate the damaged tissues they will take more to the herbal medicines as they will know their efficacy from experience.

NB:

All vitamin supplements and any allopathic medicine should be stopped soon as possible. The body can not easily assimilate chemically extracted vitamins. Rather get your vitamins from a balanced nutrition and strong digestive fire. Allopathic medicines should be phased out and stopped as they further add to toxicity. Check with your doctor and find natural substitutes or consult with a qualified Ayurvedic doctor.

Make Brahmi Ghee by taking 2 cups of pure cow ghee and putting in brahmi powder and cooking it on a low heat for 3-4 hours. This should be taken daily with a little hot milk.

The brain tissue can be treated by correcting the metabolism of the "Majja" dhatu in the body. Medicines useful in this condition are: Pancha-Tikta-Ghruta Guggulu, Guduchi (Tinospora cordifolia), Amalaki (Emblica officinalis) and Musta (Cyperus rotundus).
In addition, Ayurveda mentions a category of medicines known as "Medhya", which improve the working capacity of the brain. This category includes medicines like Mandukparni (Centella asiatica), Yashtimadhuk (Glycerrhiza glabra), Guduchi, Padma (Nelumbo nucifera), Brahmi (Bacopa monnieri), Vacha (Acorus calamus) and Shankhpushpi (Convolvulus pluricaulis).
Normally, a combination of several medicines is used in the treatment and management of autism. In addition to the two categories of medicines mentioned above, other medicines like Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) and Shatavari (Asparagus racemosus) are also used routinely. Autistic children usually require a high dose of herbal medicines to get good results.
In addition to oral treatment, autistic children benefit from massage treatment all over the body using medicated oils like Chandan-Bala-Laxadi oil and Mahanarayan oil. Ayurvedic Panchkarma procedures like "Shirodhara" and "Nasya" are beneficial for the problems related to autism, but may be more suitable for older children and adults

With Ayurvedic oil massages, steam therapies, vata-balancing foods and herbs such as brahmi, shankha pushpi, ashvagandhas, gokshura and haritaki, We can  see fascinating results.

Colour Therapy

color therapy applies light and color in the form of tools, visualization, or verbal suggestion to balance energy in the areas of our bodies that are lacking vibrance, be it physical, emotional, spiritual, or mental.

We all live in a world where at some point, colour will be a part of, and effect us in our every day lives.
Colour in everyday life is very diverse, from knowing that a fruit is ripe to eat, to understanding how Colour can affect our moods. Colour is simply light of different wavelengths and frequencies and light is just one form of energy that we can actually see that is made up from photons.
We are all surrounded by electromagnetic waves of energy of which colour is just a small part.
Each colour has its own properties and unique wavelength and frequency.
The visible spectrum of colour as we see it, consists of seven main colours:
When light from the sun passes through a prism, the light is split into the seven visible colours by a process called 'refraction'.

SAP Physical Inventory Process Cycle Flow

Physical Inventory:

Physical Inventory is a business process in which physical stock is matched with book (system) stock. It is legal requirement to carry out physical inventory at least once in a year.

Physical inventory can be carried out both for a company’s own stock (Unrestricted, Quality, Blocked Stock) and for special stocks (Customer Consignment stock, Vendor consignment stock from vendor, Returnable packaging). This inventory is carried out separately for both type of  stocks
Physical Inventory Processes:

Several inventory processes available for physical inventory which includes as follow:

1. Periodic Physical Inventory
o All stocks of the company are physically counted on the balance sheet key date
o Every material must be counted
o Entire warehouse must be blocked for material movements during count.

2. Continuous Physical Inventory
o Stocks are counted continuously during the entire fiscal year.
o It is important to ensure that every material is physically counted at least once during the year.

3. Cycle Counting
o In this method of physical inventory, inventory is counted at regular intervals within a fiscal year.
o These intervals (or cycles) depend on the cycle counting indicator set for the material in Material Master record as CC indicator in plant view data.
o With this Cycle Counting Method of Physical Inventory allows fast-moving items to be counted more frequently than slow-moving items.

4. Inventory Sampling
o Randomly selected stocks of the company are physically counted on the balance sheet key date.
o If found not much variance between the counted stock and the book book stock, it is presumed that the book inventory balances for the other stocks are correct.

1. Creation of physical inventory document

MIW1 - Customer Consignment stock
MIV1 - Returnable material with customer
MIO1 - Material provided to Vendor (Subcontracting material)

2. Print physical inventory document

- Physical Inventory document can be printed based on the physical inventory document status and or item status
- Transaction code MI21 is used to print the inventory document where print default value can be populated

3. Count the physical stock

- Based on the inventory doucmen printout, the warehouse person will check the stock of material physically and note that on print out. This is completely physical process.

4. Enter count in system

- On completion of physical count, the count result is needs to be entered in the system. This can be with reference (using Tcode MI04) or without reference (using Tcode MI04) to the physical inventory document.
- If count quantity for that material is ZERO then select ZC (zero count) column instead of putting 0 in qty field. If 0 is used for zero count then systm will consider that as "not counted"

5. Analyze difference

- Once count is posted in the sytem, difference analysis can be carried out using trasnaction MI20
- The output gives information based on the input criteria i.e. physical inventory document, plant, material etc.
- The output gives information about the book quantity, Counted quantity, difference in quantity and value.
- From this output list, you can carry out further process ie initiate recount, change count quantity, post difference

6. Initiate recount and follow the steps 3,4,5

- If found unacceptable difference, recount is initiated using directly from difference analysis list (transaction code MI20) or using transaction code MI11.
- New inventory document will be created for selected items or for entire document
- The original document items will be deactivated once recount is initiated so original document will not be available for further process.
- On initiating recount, you need to process same as for new count document.

7. Post the difference

- Several options are available for posting difference
- Post difference after count is posted using transaction code MI07
- Posting the count and inventory differences using transaction code MI08, here you have created physical inventory but not counted so with this you can count and post difference in sinle step.
- Entering the count without a document reference using trasnaction code MI10, with this you can create inventory document, enter the count and post difference in single step.

some more points for posting difference

- Posting period must be open to post inventory difference.
- The fiscal year is set by specifying a planned count date when creating a physical inventory document.
- Tolerence to crear difference per user group can be set in customization.
- The system will generate material document for the difference qty and post the value to appropriate account (for valuated stock)
- The movement type in material document will be 701 or 702 based on gain or loss of material.

Serial Numbers in Physical Inventory

If material is managed with serial number then it is possible to carry out physical inventory for material with serial number. There are some pre-requisite before you carry out physical inventory for serialized materials.

- Serial number profile must be maintained in the material master.
- the serialization procedure MMSL (maintaining goods receipt and goods issue documents) has to be assigned to serial number profile.
- The stock check indicator in the serial number profile should be configured.
- Maintain basic settings for the serial numbers in customization for Serial Number Profile.
- Configure serial number management for physical inventory in the Settings for Physical Inventory step in Customizing for Inventory Management.
