Things that not to be gifted

Gifting and buying presents for your friends and loved ones has always been tricky for many people. We always say that it’s the thought that counts but here’s a list of few items that should never be gifted.
The aura or Vastu energy around these things is not considered nurturing for any relationship. So here are 5 gift ideas that you may avoid while shopping for loved ones.
1. Sharp Objects like Swiss knife, nail cutters, swords
They might seem harmless as a gift but sharp objects like blades, chainsaw, knives, swiss army kits, swords etc. can literally severe the friendship. Sharp objects are a natural source of malicious ‘killing breath ‘ or Shar chi, such gifts send bad luck unintentionally to the person you gift.
2. Handkerchiefs
Gifting handkerchiefs are also not traditionally supported as they are used to wipe tears and sweat which suggests sadness and frustration. So giving a hanky anticipates the person who received the gift to go through a lot of crying and sweat in the future
3. Shoes
Buying shoes for a loved one may increase the chances of falling apart as shoes are considered inauspicious and suggest unhappiness, you might unknowingly send bad luck to your friend.

4. Time Pieces
Gifts like alarm clocks, wall clocks, watches etc. are common gift items, but can actually turn out to be inauspicious. This is because the passage of time suggests a limited lifespan.
5. Black Clothes
Thai people consider black as the color of pain, sadness, and darkness. They believe that giving black clothes to someone makes it more likely for you to attend their funeral!
