The late M.S. Sitaramiah used to follow a point system in timing
the marriages of boys and girls. Adopting and elaborating his approach
in this research, we are giving some additional points.
To understand his scheme first look at the modified scheme of the
point system. Examine the following points to see if early or late marriage
is indicated in a horoscope.
Condition of malefic/benefic association of planets or both is
to be. seen under three broad heads viz positive/negative or both
before finally awarding the points, as shown below
Special Points
1. Debilitated seventh lord.
2. Moon Venus conjunction or opposition without the aspect of
Jupiter and if this combination is not in Vrisha.
3. Aspect of Saturn on Venus, Moon or lagna or lagna lord, any two
or more of these,
4. Saturn Sun opposition along 1/7 axis.
5. The relevant dasha/antardasha for marriage.
Note
1. Generally It Is good not to have planets In the seventh, eighth or
twelfth houses for early marriage provided there are no malefic
associations with their lords.
2. If there are benfic associations with these lords, it is good and
promotes early marriage.
3. But the most important factor is the right dasha and antardasha for
marriage along with the favourable transits of Jupiter and Saturn.
4. Special rules given at the end must be applied invariably.
Observations
f. If some planets like the lagna lord, eighth lord, seventh and tenth
lord have or are of same degrees, they seem to have some effect
on some area of marriage.
2. Retrograde Venus and/or Mercury associated with RKA/Mars seem
to have some effect on some area of marriage.
3. Venus in malefic durudhara or in nirbeej rashi ( Mithuna, Simha,
Kanya). Some people also take Vrlschika.
4. Calculate Mandi and Dhoom and see their association with marriage
related houses particularly the seventh house and seventh lord.
5. Malefics in the seventh house and any planet in the ninth house.
6. Exchanges of fifth and seventh lords or/and seventh and ninth
lords without the aspect of Jupiter.

1. Malefic influence on 7th house 7th Lord from Lagna, Moon and
Venus.
2. Malefic influence on 2nd house, 8th house and 12th house from
Lagna.
3. Retrograde planets in 7th house and 2nd house.
4. Delay due to Saturn in 8th house from Lagna or from Venus.
5. Malefic durdhara of Venus.
6. Afflicted Venus in D/9.
7. Lagna in last 05° or first 05°.
8. 7th lord connected with 6th house, 8th house or 12th house.
9. Sun afflicting 7th house or Leo sign occupied by malefic planet.
10. Lagna stronger than 7th house, 7th house in Pap-Kartari.
11. Condition of 12th house, 12th lord from Venus.
12. 2nd house, 8th house, 12th house from Lagna is in malefic
influence.
13. Planets or owners of 1/7 or 4/10 axis play important role in a girl's
marriage.
14. Planets coming under the influence of Mars/Venus in D/9 cause
marriages or delay it.
15. Placement of Venus in Leo- a sterile sign causes delay.
16. 2nd house from Up-pada having debilitated planet, conjunct with
malefic or Rahu/Ketu axis delays.
17. Own lord association with Up-pada is good .
18. Saturn/Mars influence on Up-pada delays.
19. Saturn/Jupiter conjunction or aspect - delays.
