Vedic gods


The vedic gods are mainly 33 in number. This is the fact behind the concept that there are 33 crore deities in Hinduism - a crore variations for each God. The 33 Gods are -

1. Prajaapati or Brahmaa
2. Indrah

3. Dharah
4. Dhruvah
5. Somah
6. Aapah
7. Analah
8. Anilah
9. Pratyooshah
10. Prabhasah
- called the ashtavasus

11. Mrugavyadhah
12. Sarpah
13. Nirrutirmahashyah
14. Aja ekapat
15. Ahirbubhnyah
16. Pinaakee paramtapah
17. Bhuvanah
18. Eesvarah
19. Kapaalee Mahadyutih
20. Sthanuh
21. Bhago Bhagavan
- called ekaadasa rudras

22. Bhagah
23. Amshah
24. Aryamaa
25. Mitrah
26. Varunah
27. Savitaa
28. Dhaataa
29. Tvashtaa
30. Pooshaa
31. Vivasvaan Mahaabalah
32. Indrah
33. Vishnuh.
- called the dvaadasa adityaas

The pitrus also exist in the form of the above vasus, rudraas and aadityaas
