Holy Basil \ Tulsi

Tulsi leaves should never be chewed, it needs to be gulped down with water. This is because tulsi leaves contain alloys that are harmful for your teeth. When chewed, these leaves can damage your gums as well.
Tulsi leaves should never be offered on Shivling.
One should never pluck Tulsi leaves on certain days. These are – Ekadashi, Sundays and solar and lunar eclipses. Doing so can leave a heavy curse on you that can even take your life.

Tulsi plant should be worshipped daily morning and every evening an earthen lamp (diya) should be lit and kept near it. Doing so, one never faces money crunch. 

Tulsi plant if kept at home, removes vastu dosha from the house. 
Houses that are without tulsi plant, easily attract negative energies.
A tulsi plant in house cleans the atmospheric particles that harm us.
Never keep a dry tulsi plant in house. It is considered inauspicious. The dry plant should be immersed in water. Anew one should then be brought home.

Consuming one to two leaves of tulsi is very healthy. It boosts the immune system and keeps people free from fever and viral infections
